Symptoms like that could also be Temporal Arteritis, a staunching of blood flow to the retina. Also very bad. Go straight to an emergency room. The migraine aura is similar to what you describe. It is also bad but not vision threatening. I second the recommended eye exam, but I would do it before yo...

I can imagine all those plaques looking like some sort of memorial to dead hang-glider pilots.....it's sort of weird.

We have had a palette for several years: http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f209/JesseBruceBenson/shga_palette_1.jpg It requires a minimum of upkeep and visually enhances and supports the architecture, and reflects the natural surroundings: smoothed and sealed concrete aggregate, matt black columns, ...

Re: Greblo Advice

This reminds me of the advice Joe was giving to his students at Garlock on Saturday (9/3/11). Because the wind was coming in at 5-12mph why not start your run lower down so that you get away from the hill sooner. Then again, depending on his mood, or who he was talking to, he might also suggest thi...

That sounds like a great technique to create interesting facades to cover the Simpson saddles (especially the ones holding up the main beams), amongst other things. This was a recurring design issue earlier, (since we see the entire structure) one that was dropped due to more pressing budget concern...

When it comes to the local community, Joe Greblo is very, very savvy, both politically and tactically. Do what he says. Forget stupid Facebook and other idiotic "social media sites". They are beyond brainless when it comes to anything that requires tact, restraint, and a subtle and a measured respon...

I recommend using hard-copy letters to delivery to local council members.

E-mails are not that effective.

Easy for you to send. Easy for them to ignore, too. Click.

Having managed hundreds of construction projects, I would really hesitate to implement this before the gazebo is finished or very close to being finished. Especially the retroactive refund part. The tendency of costs is to drift up.

I have always understood "visual and tactile inspection" as being a part of a hang-check, not something else. How else would one check?

Who does aluminum forming and welding?

Since this club is full of very talented craftsmen and craftswomen, I thought I would ask here. I am looking for local shop who can fabricate some prototype cases/boxes out of 1/8" or 3/32" aluminum, requiring some one-axis forming and welding. Nothing too fancy, but needs to be clean and straight. ...
